Highlights from the 17th EACES conference 2022: Doctoral Award ceremony

The prize for the best doctoral dissertation in comparative economic systems in the years 2020 and 2021 was awarded to Natalia Kryg (University College London and EBRD) for her thesis Bank Performance and Stability. David Kemme, Michael Keren und Hartmut Lehmann served on the EACES doctoral award committee.

The award ceremony took place on September 17th 2022 and was chaired by Sonja Avlijaš, who announced the winner of the 2022 award.

Then, David Kemme gave a synopsis of the thesis.

This was followed by Natalia’s lecture, in which she presented the various chapters of her thesis, highlighting the contributions of her work to the literature, pointing to future research coming out of the established results and formulating important policy conclusions with a special focus on the European banking sector.
